A project of the National Council of Catholic Women is the collection of change in affiliated parishes across the country. Working together with other parishes in the nation, we have helped to collect over two million dollars. This money is used to construct water tanks in towns and villages in Third World Countries, most notably Kenya. In some villages, women and children must walk miles and miles and carry large water containers just to supply their families with water for one day. Building these water tanks saves the women much hardship.
On the table in the Narthex, there is a container in which you can place your change to aid in this project.
