Special Interest Clubs

Club period is held monthly. Teachers and staff moderate the clubs and student may sign up for the club of their choice. Subjects include: Board games and puzzles, sports, cooking, home economics, crafts, exercise, chess and checkers, knitting, and book club.
Students in grades 4-8 are offered weekly instrumental music lessons through Bishop McDevitt High School. Lessons are taught during the school day. Students become members of the band and perform at Masses, the annual Christmas concert and Spring Musical. A small fee is charged for lessons. Seven Sorrows School has a handchime ensemble open to students in grades 5-8. Practices are held after school, one day each week. The handchime ensemble and the school chorus perform at Masses and special occasions throughout the year. There is no fee.
National Junior Honor Society
The George V. Lentocha Chapter of the NJHS is open to students in grades 7 and 8. The organization upholds the ideals of scholarship, character, service and citizenship. Through service activities and academic standards, members maintain and extend these qualities that won them selection. Members must have and maintain a 3.5 grade point average.
Student Council
The Student Council consists of eighth grade officers and elected room representatives from grades 3-8. The Student Council represents the student body and sponsors activities including fundraising projects, after school socials, roller skating and ice skating parties and various service projects.
Athletics
